Deloitte's Business Modelling Group, within Corporate Finance Advisory, helps clients design bespoke planning and decision support tools. My role in the Group involved:- Leading Deloitte’s business modelling insurance team.- Supporting Financial Services clients, particularly insurance clients, design and develop bespoke planning and decision support tools, calculation engines, data analysis tools and financial models to support insurance transactions, transformation projects, improve operational processes and generate new business insights. - Supporting the development of IFRS 17 tools and templates including financial impact assessments and projection models to help general insurance clients understand and quantify the financial performance and position impacts resulting from the adoption of IFRS 17.Notable projects include:- Leading the finance work stream of a global transformation project with responsibility to develop and present business cases, financial impact assessments and cost allocation models.- Leading the development of a tool to track project costs and benefits resulting from the merger of two Financial Services companies.- Leading the development of various financial projection and valuation models for insurance companies and intermediaries to support potential transactions from both a buy-side and sell-side perspective.

- Leading the reporting and analytics of the Company’s investment portfolio and investment income and return for IFRS quarterly financial reporting, regulatory reporting (Solvency II) and disclosures to credit rating agencies.- Leading valuation projects for IFRS impairment review and Solvency II fair value reporting.- Supporting modelling requirements for strategic projects.- Leading the production of the quarterly Board and Executive Committee IFRS financial results presentation.

Setting up and leading the production of the quarterly Board and Executive Committee IFRS financial results presentation amongst other MI presentations. Role involved quarterly analysis and presentation of results to senior and C-Suite management, leading a team of analysts and liaising with various functional areas (including Actuarial, FP&A, Asset Management and Claims) to understand results and prepare quarterly consolidated commentary on: underwriting result by line of business; claims and loss reserves; investment result; investment portfolio; solvency; cash flow and taxation.

Managing the design and implementation of:- A multi-year projection model used for the Company's budgeting, performance management, capital management processes as well as decision making;- An IFRS reporting database used for aggregation of branch US GAAP results, posting of US GAAP to IFRS adjustments and translation of trial balance figures to presentation currency.Role involved establishing and confirming forecasting methodology with management, coordinating system build with software developers, leading the validation and user acceptance testing process and establishing BAU process.

- Supporting the financial, regulatory and group reporting for Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) plc in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.- Analysing quarterly financial results and preparing deviation commentary for group and management reporting as well as developing and monitoring financial KPIs.- Assisting with the implementation of the financial reporting and disclosure requirements for Solvency II Pillar 3- Managing the daily treasury process
