When you're part of a business, It's imperative to learn everything associated with that business. Knowing the ropes is just as important as being able to delegate authority and make sensible decisions at the top. I'd recommend that everyone spend a number of years bringing books to real life business situations before assuming a leadership role. In my view this will greatly enhance your ability to manage effectively and solve problematic situations.
