Goal-oriented software engineer with 14+ years of experience as both a back-end and front-end developer in server, desktop, and web applications.I'm currently working at MEDITECH as a Computer Scientist (approximately equivalent to Staff Engineer) on RESTful APIs & Cloud Platform, our platform which serves as the backbone for MEDITECH's cloud products.I have experience in API programming, databases, back-end development, some front-end development experience, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, and Docker. I prove my code using Unit/API tests to ensure robustness and quality. I've worked with various version control systems, such as Git and SVN.I currently program in Typescript, but also have experience in Angular, C/C++, SQL (various flavors, but mainly T-SQL), Java, and several other languages.I prefer to work in meaningful industries, where my work will have a lasting and effective impact on people's lives. This is one of the reasons I chose to work at MEDITECH when I first started there, I wanted to contribute to the development of EHR systems.I'm used to Agile development methods and am the scrum master for my team. I know how to work effectively in remote situations with teams spread across multiple states.I have experience leading others, both at work and outside. At work, I have taught classes and am a Scrum Master. Outside of work, I volunteer on my church's Board of Directors, and have held positions of both Clerk and President.
