As a senior vice president and branch manager for the Water Street location downtown Corpus Christi, it’s my responsibility to oversee my location and develop new business for the bank. WHAT I DO …Among my many duties is the oversight of personnel and daily operations of the downtown Water Street location and making sure our customers are taken care of• Working to develop new business, including loans and new deposits• Personally working with key businesses and clients • Growth and retention of our customer base • Handling loan business for the Water Street location• Responsible for hiring new employees• Developing relationships with the community including volunteer and service opportunities… FOR OUR CUSTOMERSI am the point of contact for all loans originating at the Water Street location, including commercial and residential real estate, in addition to floor plan lending, construction loans, and personal consumer type loans as well. Everything is handled on the local level for our customers—no waiting for decisions to be made elsewhere—which is one of the reasons I will always work for a community bank. Our customers are very important to us and we want the experience to be the best it can possibly be. … FOR FELLOW EMPLOYEESI oversee the Water Street staff, but we have such good employees that it’s really not a difficult task —everyone understands their duties and they perform them quite well. We very much work as a team handling the day-to-day operation of the bank. Since I am constantly in touch with those in the community, I often work with customers who are interested in loans as well as directing new customers to our capable staff to open new accounts.
