I started my career in the oilfield from the late 70s to 1988, chasing drilling rigs and punching holes wherever that took me. As the oil boom of the 80s declined I had an opportunity to become a salesman for Lone Star Safety, selling asbestos abatement supplies. The dangers of asbestos brought me understanding of respiratory protection factors,negative air, PAPRs, and supplied air. The natural progression led to all faucets of safety and environmental, customers, vendors and expertise. I now find myself in an occupation that has evolved into more of consultant to the family of friends I have as customers and a leader and mentor to the brilliant men and women I work with at Ritz Safety.
