I have twenty years experience in the oil and gas industry and five years in academic research.Since 2014 I have been the Head of Engineering and one of the management team of Magma Global Ltd. I have led the engineering team at Magma to create a first of a kind Thermoplastic Composite Pipe product for the subsea market. Under my leadership Magma’s product has moved from concept through to manufacturing development, regulatory approval, and deployment. This culminated in the successful sale of Magma and the underlying technology to TechnipFMC in 2021.Prior to Magma, I worked for the international oil company BP, initially providing technical assurance to BP’s global subsea project portfolio and latterly as a Technical Authority for BP’s subsea assets in the Angola Region. I started my engineering career in consultancy at DeepSea Engineering & Management Ltd., where I successfully expanded the capabilities of DeepSea’s UK business and established an office in Houston, Texas.Before joining industry, I studied for a doctorate in computational fluid dynamics and completed two years of post-doctoral research. My interpersonal and communication skills are excellent, I am an experienced member of a management team and a Chartered Engineer.
