Managing Director of the IT company within the Dowty Group. Based in Newbury with several subsidiary operations within the Thames Valley. Datacommunications and computer equipment sold to OEMs and end users. Built sales up to £30M, pre tax profits of £6M.

Ran all international R&D operations in Ireland, UK and Australia as well as a product-specific division. $250M revenues.

Ran all tech support for low-end systems, EMEA, based in North London.

Started as a systems engineer designing bespoke minicomputer systems based on the H-x16 range of minicomputers. Headed up a European development activity based in Hemel Hempstead - special memory designs, telecomminications equipment and mass storage.

Instrument Engineer working on electronic systems relating to nuclear fuel reprocessing.

Started as a craft apprentice and then awarded a Student Apprentice scholarship at City University (Sandwich Course)
