Colleagues describe him as "David and I worked on the same team in InMobi as Product Specialist focusing on the advertiser demand. David is a kind of person you want to have on the team as he has a fun-loving, outgoing and energetic personality. David is very professional and once the problem statement is defined to him you can be assured that he will get the job done in its truest sense. It was a pleasure working alongside David and would definitely recommend him to anyone.", "David is a diligent student who brings insight and energy to the classroom.", and "I have worked with David on a frequent basis during the last summer as his mentor. In our project, he was responsible for part of the back-end service development project in Trendmicro. Through his research effort we have successfully obtained profound insights about a flow management tool which is widely used in large-scale cloud computing infrastructure, on top of that, he was also involved in a security service development project and has made remarkable contributions. In general David is a very talented student not only in terms of technical material comprehension, but in the way he works. The solid training he had received in Berkeley as well as his ability to organize complicated, cutting-edge techniques render him a potential remarkable engineer. According to my experiences working and guiding his work, he had shown his diligence and persistence on solving problems. At the beginning he was assigned to explore a flow management framework for parallel processing jobs, we didn’t offer any in-depth trainings but gave him a brief introduction of Hadoop - a mass cloud computing system. He utilized all reachable material in a smart way and built a number of practical working procedures independently from scratch, and gave us a comprehensive presentation, which stand out to be the best piece compared to all other college students I’ve ever seen in the past few years. In addition, I was strongly impressed that David is capable of proposing different ideas which deviate from standard procedures, these acute ideas had inspired me and other team members. David Chock is a true smart engineer who thrives on the challenges as a team player, moreover, his talent and hardworking are revealed by the quality of his work, he is able to, and has shown his ability to handle both research-oriented missions and engineering-oriented system implementation."

Listed skills include Python, Java, Software Engineering, Hadoop, and 12 others.
