Co-led NerdGraph cloud migration initiative, planning and executing a cross-functional teams risk analysis and multi-staged move to cellular architecture, resulting in 0 downtime and 0 incidents. Drove the implementation of distributed Redis PubSub cache architecture, resulting in a 2-3x decrease in load to authentication services and deliver consistent customer experiences. Successfully executed a critical security upgrade with a custom solution, eliminating sensitive data leak surface to 0.Developed V2 test infrastructure by creating a new authorization bot, reducing unexpected auth-related test toil from 3 episodes to 0 in a consecutive 6-month period. Innovated the development of a GraphQL query explainer, enabling engineers to self-serve and identify fan out request details in seconds, directly reducing team support burden. Emphatically guided a new senior engineer through NerdGraph’s code generation schema stitching engine so they could complete a feature for it. This resulted in positive feedback that they felt supported and more confident in our codebase.

I owned and operated CrossFit Portland, a CrossFit training facility, for 12 years. It's given me priceless experience that directly connects with my second career in the SaaS software industry.
