Since March 2022 I started my experience in biotechnological research, first I joined Tigem (Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine) as a lab manager and technician acquiring skills both in acquisitions management, laboratory organization and active research on rare disease for therapeutical needs, learning techniques and protocols ranging from biochemistry to molecular biology (PCR, gel electrophoresis, western blot, cell culture handling, engineered cell lines, cloning and vector designing). Than on May 2024 I moved to Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, where I'm currently working, after winning a research grant. My current research project is based on the study of microalgae as potential therapeutical tools and their probiotic/prebiotic effects in human intestine, linking biochemical characterization and testing on human cancer cell lines.
