I live in the US and have a home in the UK. I am a citizen My previous work experience has primarily been in social care. I have extensive experience of managing service provisions as well as hands on work with all age groups and social circumstances including child care, homeless persons, HIV/AIDS, elderly and young adults. I specialised in mental health.I take pride in my empathy and communication skills having managed large multi-disciplinary teams and consider resource management one of the emerging skills. (Getting the job done with limited resources) I believe strongly in social justice but equally that individuals must use the skills and opportunities to be responsible for their own lives.I have always had a keen interest in the arts and have applied my skills and experience to develop opportunities for others and support people from diverse cultures whom i choose to be with. I believe that the arts are the fulfillment of human aspirations. I am involved in the development of the creative community in the greater Palm Springs area through career pathways for youth, business development and economic growth. I am privileged to support Arts Oasis which is at the forefront of this work. It is part of the Greater Palm Springs Convention& Visitors Bureau. This additional work links the creative community to cultural tourism.I continue to provide consultation and support to various organizations connected with the arts.
