David is the Senior Program Manager at Earthology Consulting Services. He currently works on contract with the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) in the Office of Resiliency.Prior to joining Earthology, he worked as a Section Leader in the Real Estate Division of the SFWMD. Before that he served as Principal Federal Policy Analyst in the Office of Everglades Policy and Coordination. He was the project manager for the Kissimmee River Restoration Project (KRR) and the Broward County Water Preserve Areas project and liaison between SFWMD and the US Army Corps of Engineers on Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan projects.David held the position of Senior Environmental Scientist in the Lakes and Rivers Ecosystems Section of the Applied Sciences Bureau at SFWMD.In this role, he managed the Kissimmee River Restoration Project and served as the principal investigator for dissolved oxygen and community metabolism studies. As a scientist, he helped to develop and publish restoration evaluation performance measures for KRR and is the principal author of a number of refereed journal articles on the success of KRR. A former resident of the state of Connecticut, Mr. Colangelo received his B.S. degree in Natural Resources Management and Engineering and his M.S. degree in Wetland Science, from the University of Connecticut.
