David Colin, is the Founder and Executive creative director of Luce Creative. Colin’s formal education was completed in his native Paris, a degree in Cinema, Copywriting and Advertising, which paved the way for a career within the film and advertising industries. Initially as Senior Editor for television and commercials, he later began directing and creative directing, animation and live action films for international renown production companies, such as Stink Shanghai, Markenfilm Germany, Carnibird Paris and Havas Paris. His work has collected multiple awards including Cannes Young Director Award, Adfest New director of the year and the A-List award. He most recently worked as creative director for one of the world best animation companies, Passion Pictures Melbourne. In 2016, Colin established Luce Creative in Melbourne. Recognizing an opportunity to unite Eastern and Western cultures by connecting commissioners and investors with concept creators. Working with a stable of top international talents, he brings animated TV series and long form concepts directly to the buyers. Currently in production on the first series of The Adventures of Little Penguin, Colin is now well immersed into the series and feature film markets. In 2019, he opened the doors of his newest venture, Luce Creative Shanghai, and has established a wide client base on streaming platforms, broadcasters and film production companies in China and around the world.
