At LinQuest Corp, I am a Systems Engineer specializing in engineering analysis and Design of Experiments (DoE) in support of MILSATCOM space acquisition Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities. My responsibilities include writing and reviewing test plans and test reports, designing test methodologies, and analyzing test data.While working for SAFE Inc, my primary responsibilities included: Fatigue crack growth researchon aluminum alloys found in aircraft structures, particularly in areas where surface wear and corrosion cause stress concentrations to form, encouraging crack propagation; Quality Control (QC) oversight of all incoming and outgoing test specimens, fixtures, and parts, including definition of processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely inspections using hand tools, digital height gages and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs); research, development, and maintenance of an environmental control system used during E647 fatigue testing with Direct Current Potential Drop (dcPD) crack growth monitoring technology; performing mechanical testing (E647, E467, E8, G133) including test planning when required, ensuring all needed parts and materials were on hand or ordered if necessary, performing tests, and all data reduction required for inclusion into journal articles and technical reports. I was also required to perform, as necessary for the execution of the task: Solidworks drafting and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), engineering analyses in MATLAB, MathCAD, or Microsoft Excel (Including VBA coding for complex processes), Instrument control and setup in LabVIEW including creating new VIs to perform unique functions, and rapid prototyping with Makerbot and Stratasys 3D printers.
