Leading design delivery in accordance with the WSP Project Plan and associated processes. 2. Interfacing with ASC, EKFB & HS2 to maintain client relationships and form a collaborative working environment. 3. Accountable for planning and chairing DDR & IDR presentations, including overseeing the submission of circa 4,000 design and assurance deliverables. 4. Responsible for project management at Package Order level for design delivery, including: a. Leading on all Commercial and Change Management activities within the Package Order, including Early Warnings, Notification of Compensation Events, Quotation reviews to ensure technical accuracy and that the appropriate process has been followed. b. Maintaining control of instructed scope, including development of Task Instructions which formed the baseline position.c. Overseeing the development and monthly updates to the Package Order programme, ensuring it is realistic and practicable, monitoring and reporting against baseline performance. d. Collaborating with Design Managers, Design Leads and Technical Leads, along with engagement with Technical Leads to ensure the team is adequately resourced against the plan.e. Maintaining oversight of Package cost position, including variances in forecasts, Estimate to Complete and Estimate at Completion. f. Identifying threats and opportunities, support Risk Manager with Risk Management activities, and escalating of issues to the SLT as required to allow appropriate resolution. g. Leading on Package performance reviews and supports reporting into the Project and externally into the client environment. 5. Planning and defining all works associated with package closure and handover.

David is a Principal Engineer with 8 years of experience within the Civil, Bridge and Ground discipline and 10 years overall in the industry having had experience in the Water Resource sector previously. He is based in the Exeter office. Since January 2018, David has been based in Highways England’s Bristol office 3 days per week, supporting in the procurement of the A303 Stonehenge – Amesbury to Berwick Down scheme which was identified in the 2016-2021 National Infrastructure Delivery Plans as one of the country's top five projects with an expected construction cost of £1.6 billion.

This led from David’s experience of Local Authority commissions, having played a key role in the structural inspection, assessment, and design of remedial repairs to the Client’s bridge stock. David has a breadth of managerial experience, both project and people having been Deputy Team Leader for the Exeter Team with Line Management responsibilities.

David moved to the Exeter office in February 2012 and contributed to a diverse range of projects for different clients, before this become a permanent relocation.

David was involved in a range of activities including writing proposals, forming project data sheets, analysing extreme rainfall events and reviewing technical reports. Significant contribution was made to the Water Resources Carbon Costing Assessment project which involved the use of a Microsoft Excel model to assess a range of water resource schemes to evaluate their carbon footprint.

David was a key member of the Monks Brook Flood Mapping/Data Sheets project team from inception to completion. Tasks such as data analysis and validation, hydrological analysis, river hydraulic modelling, flood mapping and report writing were undertaken.
