I went into this role with no experience or knowledge about New Zealand Post and found myself picking up the role very quickly, and becoming a valuable member of the team. I initially started out in the Sales team, but after a restructure the Business Support team moved into a different division of Post. Our team also went from 3 team members to just myself for a number months, where I managed to support a sales team of 11. I learnt a vast amount skills in this role, and the work involved the following:- Producing pricing schedules and letters for the sales teams.- Working alongside pricing specialists to create specialised schedules.- Producing spend reports for customer visits.- Created pipeline reporting, sales team engagement model and assisted as an key support for sales with Intilecta.- Constant engagement with management to provide and create new reporting for sales opportunities in order to achieve targets.- Worked in many different systems which included CMS, RightNow and Business Objects.

During my time at Fairfax Sundays I learnt a range of new skills and acquired a good knowledge of many different processes involved in both pagination and sales co-ordination within the newspaper industry. I covered a variety of roles within the team I worked in and the work involved the following: - Pagination/Layout- Co-ordination- Sales reporting- Testing of new systems/processes- Handling agency bookings/material.- Working towards very tight print deadlines.
