Direct oversight of 36 contracts from 13 operating locations. Responsibilities include recruitment and retention plans for approximately 900 operators, maintenance oversight of 900 school buses, contract negotiations, new business development, P&L growth, and union contract negotiations.

Greater New York City Area

Directly responsible for all major approvals on the facility and fleet at 4 operating locations that had a combined total fleet exceeding 500 units. 3 operating contract with the MTA in Staten Island, Harlem and Brooklyn. Improved the NYDOT first time pass rate by 6 pts during my tenure to over 97%. Improved mean distance between failures from 2,800 to 17,300. Responsible for 12 operating locations along the east coast that consisted of 1200 vehicles. Assisted the VP of Maintenance with creating budgets within the region for each fiscal year. Directly responsible for ensuring the operating locations were within their budgets each year. Performed location audits semi-annually to ensure contract and DOT compliance. Recruited all Shop Managers for the region.

I began as a technician and moved into managing fixed and para transit fleets in Colorado and Arizona.
