NiSoft's most recent application is a document management system targeted at the Oil, Gas and Power industry. It is written in C#/.NET with WPF a client. It largely used WCF for communication between the client and server.nHibernate was used in the data access layer to communicate with a variety of database providers. Primarily focused on MS SQL Server and Oracle.Working within a small to medium sized development team has allowed exposure to all areas of the code base. I was involved with the creation of custom WCF Web Service plugins which allowed our software to communicate with 3rd party applications such as SAP and Maximo and Oracle ERP.On occasion, the role required travelling to client locations for technical requirement gathering for integration and deployment purposes.
