When you're not being shouted at then you must be doing something right.It's an old saying that I think applies well to IT support.I have been doing IT support for many years in varying areas ranging from automotive research and design through to statistical process control and home and business support not to mention the financial sector too. I've been 1st, 2nd and 3rd line and at one point the only line of support; frantic but, then again when is it not.I always have aimed for the fix should work and you can tell when the person who had the problem has breathed a sigh of relief.Aside from offering support I have also been involved with managing mobile telephony and the analysis of the connections. Granted that sounds grander than it should, but when you manage to do a good deal of cost saving without sacrificing functionality maybe there's a little right to blow your own trumpet.
