Supporting the National Planning Manager and Head of Transport Planning to deliver efficiency in our network.Key Responsibilities: • Accountable for the day-to-day planning management activity across the region, utilising internal planning and transport systems, ensuring we deliver in a timely manner to achieve forecasted volumes and lead times for our customer proposition. • Identify strategic initiatives to deliver value to our customer and well as constantly reviewing the plan, driving improvements and adding value through a continuous improvement mindset. • Responsible for the delivery and creation of cost-effective peak plans. • Leadership of our planning team, through coaching, development and upskilling with a network approach to your region.• Role model for our network vision, bringing our region together to ensure CI, cross training and collaboration. • Work in partnership with our operational leads to achieve Transport related budgets and KPIS. What will you bring to our team?• Proven planning experience for a large-scale transport operation, with business strategy focused mindset who can deliver in a results driven manner. • Excellent people leadership and stakeholder relationship skills, focusing on collaboration and development. • Flexibility to travel across the region on a weekly basis (Company Car/Allowance included). We offer hybrid working, but this role is predominately based on site. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with a curious mind to question the status quo for CI. • Strong analytical and critical thinking, with the ability to ‘connect the dots’ and network approach.
