Polished, passionate, professional and experienced classroom teacher and boys' basketball coach with 22 years of varsity boys' basketball head coaching experience along with 2 years of college basketball coaching experience. Have planned and implemented out on the basketball court over 1,000 practice plans and have coached over 600 "real" basketball games in-season outside of summer games also coached. Closing in on 300 career varsity wins, but most proud of the career long emphasis on reaching one's potential as a person, student and athlete. I take a very disciplined approach to both classroom teaching and coaching while talking to my players daily about their respective futures and always looking "downstream..." in regard to their lives. My "core 4" beliefs that I want all of my students and athletes to embrace and follow through with in regard to their lives are as follows;1.Graduate from college2.Befriend influential people3.Control their anger4.Save their money*By doing the above 4 items, the students/athletes will have put themselves on a path for a successful life down the road...I am seeking a basketball coaching/teaching position at the current time and also would strongly consider any position related to being a basketball skills instructor/player development coach as teaching the game "out on the court" is my passion and calling! I am a fully certified teacher in the areas of Health and PE K-12, English 6-12 and I also have my school administration/leadership certification K-12 along with a B.S. degree in English/Secondary Education from Indiana University and a M.Ed. degree in Educational Administration/Supervision from Valdosta State University located in Valdosta, GA. Past supervisors have given me excellent scores and reviews regarding my classroom teaching and coaching ability and I am open for work and ready to lead, teach and give hope and help to all students, athletes and stakeholders.
