My role as part of the team included:  Set-up/design of an excel spreadsheet with all communities, identifying risk in relation to weather (wet or cyclone season/dry season and accessibility.  Fact finding mission into 4 remote communities north east of Alice Springs to understand the conditions that the team will be sending interviewers into.  Researching and Analysing information about the communities from a variety of internet sources to understand the communities, the remoteness, accessibility, contacts, history, services available, accommodation, and past population and household data.  Facilitating between the ABS and Community Leaders to allow interviewers into the community and times etc.  Organising flights/accommodation/4wd car hire plus any other travel required to transport the interviewer/s to the community/s from anywhere in Australia, to the community utilising commercial and chartered travel companies.  Setting up interviewers with appropriate safety gear and holding pre-trip briefs to understand with them to ensure they understand the risks associated with the trip to the community actions to take under circumstances that could occur.
