I was part of a once in a lifetime opportunity working for Aramark Ltd at the London Olympic games. Responsibilities included food/health and safety auditing, training and bringing together a cohesive team for all employees, managers, supervisors and head chefs to ensure a safe production of food from delivery through to consumption.

I successfully gained a placement at Chelmsford City Council which helped my studies in my final year. I spent three months in each of the following departments; Environmental Protection, Commercial and Private Sector Housing learning skills from my vastly experienced colleagues. This provided the stepping stone to working independently managing and prioritising my own workload and becoming an effective public health risk assessor. I became a vital part of the Environmental Health Team encountering many difficult customer challenges.

My previous role as a pest technician was to recognise the most effective pest prevention solutions and present to contract directors to prevent reoccurrence of issues for critical cost effectiveness. Daily work included installing anti-roosting devices to commercial and domestic buildings, carrying out routine pest control inspections in food premises and educating clients on rodent and insect behavioural patterns.
