A Chartered Engineer with 40+ years experience David is an MEP Technical Director at WSP. He is currently responsible for managing MEP design on the HS2 Euston station project in the UK . In addition to his MEP design skills he also plays a major role in the integration of civil, structural, architecural and rail systems designs leading to fully integrated and coordinated design solutions which add value to WSP clients.With his experience of working in major contractor and consultancy organisations he has extensive design and build experience. This enables his team to produce cost effective designs to programme requirements. He also has strong value engineering skills ensuring first class design solutions at minimum cost. David was instrumental in the introduction of Building Information Modeling (BIM) into Atkins in the Middle East, starting in 2008 with Dubai Metro. BIM ensures better, information rich, concurrent design that is fully coordinated. This ensures that the client receives fully resolved high quality designs that are accurate, complete, and contain full materials quantity information.
