Suez Medical Solutions (formerly MediCollect) is Perth's only licensed facility for the incineration of clinical and other wastes. The business collected wastes from some 1,100 customers throughout the Perth Metropolitan area and the South West of the state. I was the General Manager of this business, responsible for all operational, planning, health and safety, P&L, and sales and business development activities. I transformed the culture of the site, replaced weak team members with highly effective ones, and reversed a loss making situation to on-budget profit. I managed several major upgrades of the plant including a $1M+ project which significantly improved the environmental profile of the site.Member of State Senior Management team.

Senior Manager responsible for national operational support to 12 sites performing waste Resource Recovery and tray washing services for Tesco Stores Ltd. Supporting ten sites across the UK, plus one in Ireland and one in Spain. Logistics Management, Business Planning, Project Management and Customer Liaison. Head of Tray Control department. Lead member of the project team which designed, developed and implemented an in-house, on line system which controlled and managed the movement of 20 million plastic trays for our customer. Regular auditing of the operations of all twelve sites with reporting back to director level.

Managing a 8000 sq.m facility which washed plastic returnable trays and recovered the resources from waste cardboard and plastics generated from some 80 Tesco stores throughout the N / NE of England. Responsible for around 80 staff.
