Responsibilities Include: • Gather, evaluate and document market demands, opportunities and feature requests both strategic andtactical for existing or new product evolution and make them actionable items for the R&D team;• Work closely with the hardware supplier and partner on the product definition and lifecycle strategy;• Develop and communicate internal and external product roadmap by setting product/feature priorities;• Evaluate and understand market segmentation;• Execute and continuously improve an agile Product Management process that is aligned with Genetec’sbusiness model and best industry practices to bring products to the market;• Assess the industry and the competition in concert with colleagues in Product Marketing;• Research technological trends in collaboration with R&D and Product Marketing;• Evaluate product SWOT and market performance;• Formulate product and marketing-mix (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement) strategies;• Serve as internal and external evangelist for the product offering.

Reporting to the senior director of product management, responsible for the strategic direction and product life cycle of Nexsan’s advanced systems product lines. Includes maintaining product roadmaps, regularly presenting product strategies to the executive team, defining product requirements, ensuring delivered products meet specifications, and guiding sales, marketing, support and operations on product related initiatives.

• Working in the role of technical Product Manager with the NST Hybrid Storage product. The development of the product is done using Agile Scrum methodology.• Serve as market expert for my product and communicate the needs of the user to engineering.• Along with overseeing the release of new software revisions I have also taken part in the launch of three new platforms, managing two of them.• Key roles include evaluating and managing cost, benefit and schedule trade-offs for a given feature/project. Working cross functionally to drive the implementation of new features and resolve issues. • Other responsibilities include writing requirements (User Stories), PRDs, FRDs, maintenance of product BOMs and part numbers, scrum product owner, hardware integration and qualification, developing beta test plans and managing beta programs.• In addition I perform a variety of tactical tasks focused on enabling the sales and support teams to better understand sell the product.
