Responsible for all front end engineering throughout the company including make vs buy decision where appropriate based on capability, capacity and costing requirements.Produce monthly turnover forecasts relating to the current order book that are then used by the GM and production team.Producing accurate and concise route cards for the manufacturing procedure including treatments and the introduction of new tooling to increase production efficiency.Creation of BOM's allowing JIT purchasing to support production.The accurate engineering procedure allows for me to create the scheduling of work flow through the factory via work to lists for all machines, identifying bottlenecks and inefficient working practices.Medium term capacity planning is carried out by my analysis of resource groups that is then used to plan additional shifts and overtime requirements. In extreme cases the decision can be made to offload packages to ease this workload based on the capacity planning. This offload is then my responsibility.Key customer and supplier account management is now part of my role within the company and includes maintaining and developing the partnership.
