As Senior Director, I oversee daily operations and have full P&L responsibility for all aspects of the business unit. I launched BoltBus as a startup and took charge of hiring, training, planning the launch strategy, PR, marketing and pricing.One of my key accomplishments in this role is that I expanded the company by adding two new regions, leading to revenue growth from $13M in the first year to $43M in the fifth year, with an average annual EBIT margin of 20.9%.I also adopted mobile technology in 2009 to improve employee productivity and the customer experience, which yielded a customer Net Promoter Score of over 40.

Here, I held full P&L responsibility for the company’s Food Service division with 48 locations in 28 states organized into 5 districts. I successfully implemented team-building strategies and sound business fundamentals during the division turnaround, establishing productivity KPIs and dashboards.Working closely with an experienced team, we fully reverted the Food Service business from a struggling entity to a thriving endeavor, reduced inventory carry by 47% through the creation of a centralized distribution center, and improved the EBIT margin from 9% to 17%.

In this role, I managed a cross-functional team in brand development and led the creation and launch of the BoltBus brand, which was highly innovative in the intercity bus space, offering ticket-less travel, boarding groups and a loyalty plan. I project managed a team in the creation of the brand and website, including customer surveys and focus groups, and I negotiated the initial labor contract and established operational processes.My biggest achievement here was that I completed the project from concept to launch in just 6 months, 3 months ahead of schedule.

Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

In this role, I was responsible for all aspects of a major change effort focusing on redesign of the scheduled passenger network. I helped drive the project to change the entire Greyhound network and subsidiaries.My key contribution here was that I planned and implemented 5 phases to successfully restructure the entire domestic Greyhound and subsidiary passenger networks.
