I have experience managing primary care operations, developing new facilities, and coordinating startup facilities as Regional Vice President of the Central and Northeast Regions for HealthSouth Corporation, overseeing operations in 17 states spanning the Midwest and Northeast. I also served on a series of committees, including Disability Management and National Risk Transfer. In these positions, I was responsible for developing strategies for total disability management and developing a national network of providers capable of accepting full risk transfers. This was a precursor to today’s risk transfer arrangements that are a part of the Affordable Care Act.Prior to working with HealthSouth, I served as Vice President of Meridian COMP of the Midwest, Inc., where I developed more than 23 projects in the Occupational Health Arena and consulted with the corporation’s freestanding Occupational Health facilities in California.Before my VP post at Meridian COMP of the Midwest, Inc., I served as President and CEO of Methodist Occupational Health Centers, Inc., (MOHCI), located in Indianapolis. During my 13 years with MOHCI, I was accountable for operations of multisite occupational health facilities, development of risk transfer and outcomes tracking, and other worker’s comp managed care strategies.Finally, I was employed by a proprietary healthcare system called Basic American Medical, Inc., where I worked in Acquisition and Development.
