I was hired to be responsible for creating, building and structuring the very first Technical Engineering Support role and team for Rhythm Engineering from the ground up to alleviate much of the burden on the company’s engineers so that they can focus primarily on developing traffic signal plans and configurations for our adaptive traffic system. I have built a team based on training methods and operating procedures to efficiently support thousands of intersections in over 30 different states as well as Toronto and Montreal Canada that are dedicated to our company’s mission which is to “Bring loved ones to their destinations safer and faster”. In addition to developing a support team I was brought on to assist in production and installation of our equipment and take over the Salesforce responsibilities which included maintaining, updating and improving the layout of the company’s Salesforce page such as adding new fields, creating reports, creating workflow rules, assigning permissions to new and old users and improving on the existing pages functionality and layout. A key component to allow data transfer from one location to another was the configuration of a unique VPN for customers to allow a secure channel of communication to our central servers so that I could set up ETL jobs to extract data from the local databases of each retail location and transfer the information to a central cloud based server where it would be transferred again back to all of the other retail and e-commerce locations providing each store that was connected in this way to share real time data about all aspects of there business.
