I was hired to manage a sewing plant with approximately 150 employees in Salisbury NC. Imanaged the Salisbury plant for two years before taking the corporate Human Resourcemanager position in Concord NC. I maintained the corporate HR manager position for 18months and was promoted to the operations manager. My duties as operations managerincluded the entire manufacturing process from the purchasing of raw materials to thewarehousing and shipping of finished goods. Sunrise had three company owned domesticmanufacturing facilities, two offshore manufacturing facilities, and a number ofsubcontractors. I reported to the president of the company. Sunrise had a total of 1,200employees.@

My responsibilities as plant engineer were to maintain a piece rate based system forproduction employees, costing of the product, continuos productivity improvements, plantlayouts, and equipments purchases.
