Working with Microsoft Identity Manager and related technologies such as PowerShell, Active Directory, SQL, .NET (C#). Responsibilities include i) Managing current Identity Management solution by resolving user tickets, implementing performance enhancements and developing new features requested by business partners.ii) Engaged in planning for the new global implementation of MIM by defining requirements and pointing out areas for improvement based on lessons learned in the current solution.

Working with NetIQ / Microfocus Identity Manager (IDM), responsible for ongoing operations and implementing new features for an infrastructure that comprised of over 30 drivers with a user base of over 30,000 employees, temporary staff, and business partners. Acquired proficiency in IDM driver and workflow development and maintenance. Developed supporting scripts using PowerShell with the DirectoryServices LDAP namespace.

Individually responsible for designing and developing a process to automate the build of monthly software updates. Technologies used included the .NET framework (VB.NET), WPF, Linq. Architecture used XML configuration to allow for flexibility, and a separation of UI and business logic.Ongoing development work on the core ASP.NET application and the Progress backend database using its 4GL language.

Managing a team of 6 Full Time Employees and 3 vendors. • Responsible for day to day data center operations that support private cloud infrastructure and accountable to stakeholders from multiple business groups.• Global lead for a subset of the internal training department.In both roles, introduced standards and processes to make the businesses more efficient; drove initiatives to capture and document “tribal knowledge” in areas such as disaster recovery and escalation processes.

Starting as a Support Engineer, attained Escalation Engineer status while the technology expanded to Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) which includes both Identity and Certificate Lifecycle Management components.These technologies require a foundational knowledge in Active Directory infrastructure and .NET programming in C#, as well as some knowledge of Exchange, PKI, SQL and 3rd party Directory Services.Escalation Engineer responsibilities and individual initiatives included:• Monitoring health of the team business and Escalation point for the most difficult technical and customer-facing problems.• Led global collaboration, forming an email alias used by support engineers worldwide, participated in recurring conference calls with engineers in other regions.• Early adopter of emerging virtualization technology. Recognized the business value and worked with the development team on driving features needed by users.• Support incident case distribution model. Introduced a methodology for efficiently managing the inbound ticket queue. This was later adopted by all support teams globally.

Assisting customers either onsite or remotely with problem solving (reactive) or architectural / POC type (proactive) engagements. This role required a technology generalist working with a number of technologies, and engaging Subject Matter Experts when needed. Technologies included .NET coding in C# and programming to Active Directory. While in this role I developed and delivered customer and internal workshop training in MSMQ, AD programming, and Windows debugging.
