Profile bio

About David De Regt

I live full time on a boat with my wife, cruising up and down the east coast of the US, working fully remotely since shortly before COVID. I've done everything from web design to DBA to mobile developer to sales engineer to architect to running an engineering org of 70 folks. My greatest strengths center around my ability to wear a lot of hats and find/fill in wherever I can have the most impact, while simultaneously staying very grounded in the architecture and technology behind the scenes of the sausage factory. I can help with this anywhere from an IC position through to running large groups, depending on what the organization needs. In the last decade, I have been roaming the full stack, deep in the world of platform engineering since before it was a mainstream term; building teams, processes, and whole organizations centered around engineering enablement. Tooling systems, common libraries, database and infrastructure management, documentation, service frameworks, and development environments all combine to enhance productivity and quality of your engineering organization, culminating in the ability to deliver reliable features to customers faster than ever before.
