I primarily assist low-income Texas Veterans and their families with their unique legal issues in State Court, Federal Court and administrative hearings. Between 2008 and early 2010, I was employed as an attorney for South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC) following the devastation of Hurricane Ike on the Gulf Coast. While working for SETRPC, we implemented the disaster recovery Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, HOME Consortium funding, and CDBG economic development grant that assisted small businesses. In 2010, I returned to LSLA, where I previously interned during law school, to be one of the two attorneys firm wide who would represent Veterans on civil legal issues throughout their 13 offices, 74 counties, scattered throughout east, west and southwest Texas, as well as a small portion of Arkansas.
Listed skills include Legal Research, Civil Litigation, Litigation, Courts, and 16 others.
