Relentlessly inquisitive and passionate about knowledge, I strive to understand and better the world around me. I hope to achieve this goal through a career in the law. By studying French and Philosophy, I learned to use the beautiful and complex tool of language to weave intricate, coherent arguments. These pursuits gave me the skills to negotiate and distill dense bodies of information, whether they be massive philosophical works or an array of French news articles. This experience prepared me to translate complex ideas into persuasive, digestible arguments.Working in food service and child care taught me patience, empathy, and level-headedness in difficult, urgent situations. I’ve learned in these situations the best thing to do is listen, to understand people’s needs and point of view. This is the case regardless of if I am working with a colleague, a client, or a crying child.
