Directed the global implementations and ongoing projects around Oracle eBusiness suite, Hyperion applications, and proprietary applications to support the Corporate HR, Buy to Pay, and Financial Planning and Accounting systems.• Directed team consisting of three offshore and six near shore dba’s to provide 24X7 support for the global production FP&A systems. Environment includes multiple development and stage environments consisting of 70+ databases up to 1.5Tb in size. Applications include Oracle 11i and 12i, OBIEE, Discoverer, Business Objects, and Hyperion Financial Data Management and Planning modules.• Designed, built, and implemented a horizontally scalable infrastructure, using Intel hardware and Linux, to support a single Oracle 12i general ledger environment for all of Corporate. The scope of this project includes consolidating over 600 ledgers in 75 countries with over 30 functional currencies and six different languages onto a single global instance. This is a four year project with over 80 ledgers successfully migrated to date. • Designed, tested, and implemented Disaster Recovery solutions across distinct datacenters for SOX level one applications using EMC SRDF, NetApps Snapmirror, and F5 BigIP technologies. • Drove initiative to reduce TCO for existing applications by migrating existing databases from the Sun Solaris platform to lower cost Intel based RedHat Linux servers resulting in 300K annual savings. • Member of the GE Oracle Technology and Support councils. The purpose of these councils is to establish a strategic partnership with Oracle technology communities across GE, drive operational excellence around upgrade initiatives, simplify architecture and infrastructure thru standardization, and to create a forum for sharing lessons learned.• Subject matter expert in the area of reducing downtime around Oracle database and application upgrades.
