In 2006 I became the Technical Director of both Tetronics Limited and Platinum Recoveries Limited (PRL). Subsequently he became a Director of Plasma Processing UK Limited (PPUK). The latter operates a fully integrated 25,000 tonnes per year waste recovery facility independently licensed thermal plasma waste recovery facility. In the Tetronics' role the most recent packages of work related to waste management within the nuclear power/decommissioning industry and investigated the vitrification of asbestos, PCM and wet ILW, with emphasis on the properties of the final wasteforms and RWMD compliance. At the same time I project managed a TSB Technology Programme project entitled ‘Integrated solution for air pollution control (APC) residues using DC plasma technology’, this was a three year project with a budget of £2.37M and multiple partners. This project addressed the limitation of current APC residue disposal mechanisms, with an alternative competitive recovery solution, and engineers the final products for re-use as opposed to disposal, effectively closing the recycling loop. I have been actively involved in vitrification, gasification, smelting and pollution control projects for many years. I have a thorough understanding of the regulatory framework that surrounds the Environmental Sectors, from plant permitting through to compliance monitoring of installations and residues.

PPUK provides a processing service for an international client. It was the UK's first independently licensed plasma based precious metal recovery facility. The facility worked on the basis of plasma recovery of precious metals from spent catalysts; more specifically autocatalyst. The technology offered high technical efficiencies, low environmental impacts and low cost treatment costs. The product of the plant was a mixed alloy; suitable for final refining, by others. Due to wider commercial business circumstances this facility has now been decommissioned and sold.
