Managing day to day ingredients for production, picking and packing finished products for dispatch, receiving and storing goods, general house duties and quality control.

My role at Abbotsleigh was to maintain and repair all the farm machinery which ranged from servicing tractors, trucks and quads to replacing hydraulic hoses and repairing cylinders. Other tasks included irrigation repairs, fabricating and repairing implements, building sheds and covers, and operating machinery when necessary. I was responsible for my own work area and had the assistance of other staff when it was required as well as helping out other team members.

I started working at Clearspan as a labourer manufacturing house and shed frames and after a short period I became leading hand. My role was to keep things running smoothly in the workshop while I produced the larger one off jobs, deal with any problems that may arise and ensure the quality of work was up to standard.

Trackex specialize in heavy earthmoving undercarriage reconditioning and during my time there I learnt all the processes which included relugging track plates with both MIG and SUB arc welders, rebuilding worn idlers and rollers with a SUB arc welder, machining them back to standard specs and reassembling them ready for delivery.
