I started my banking career as a banking assistant as I had several excellent role models / mentors in the industry. Additionally, I enjoy working with people to achieve their financial dreams, which is still a passion of mine today.As a commercial real estate professional at SunTrust for the past 10 years, I managed a portfolio of real estate assets during the recession and recovery. This management involved risk management on behalf of the bank, clear client communications and the implementation of an agreed upon solution.Additionally, for the last 18 months at SunTrust, I was directly involved in establishing and driving a new SunTrust program designed to increase the commercial real estate activity in select markets. This management not only involved the review and analysis of the various markets and projects but also the promotion of the program to appropriate audiences. Change is inevitable in any industry and I embrace this change in todays business environment. With change comes better and more efficient ways to help others. Helping others continues to energize me.
