I was recruited by the founder of an affiliate of Agora Inc. and tasked with upgrading the editorial quality of its free content as well as its subscription-based investment advisories.I oversaw the daily operations of the editorial department, including free and subscription-based content focused on investing, finance, economics, and geopolitics, participating in and contributing to strategic planning for the division.From July 2016 through January 2017 I wrote a daily column on innovation, startups, early stage companies, and small-caps, with an emphasis on breakthrough technologies across a broad spectrum of disciplines.

I was Chief Investment Strategist of Utility Forecaster, Canadian Edge and Australian Edge. My responsibilities included researching and writing each monthly issue as well as managing model portfolios for each publication.Utility Forecaster was recently recognized as one of "10 investment newsletters to read besides Buffett's" by Marketwatch.com's Mark Hulbert based on its 15-year annualized return of 9.5%.Canadian Edge and Australian Edge consistently outperformed benchmarks during my tenure.

I continued as associate editor of Canadian Edge and added similar copy editing, proofreading, research and writing responsibilities for MLP Profits. I also led the research and writing effort for Australian Edge, which I co-founded. I was also co-editor of Big Yield Hunting and managing editor of Utility Forecaster.

During an interim stint as the head of editorial for a small financial newsletter publishing company I represented the department at weekly management team meetings, contributed to strategic planning and continued with day-to-day management of Utility Forecaster, contributing to Personal Finance, managing and contributing to Canadian Edge and writing Maple Leaf Memo.I moved out of the Editorial Director role to co-found and handle the bulk of the research and content-generation for Australian Edge.

In addition to managing the editorial process for Utility Forecaster and Canadian Edge as well as continuing with my content contributions, I assumed overall responsibility for Personal Finance, including issue planning, copy editing and proofreading.During this period I co-founded Big Yield Hunting, a trading advisory focused on speculative high-yield stocks.I also oversaw a team of editors and research analysts and contributed to strategic planning for the editorial department.

I managed the editorial process (copy editing, proofreading) for Utility Forecaster and Canadian Edge. I also researched and wrote action-oriented articles offering investment ideas for Personal Finance.I created Maple Leaf Memo, an e-zine in support of Canadian Edge, in October 2006. Maple Leaf Memo achieved the highest click-through and revenue-per-user figures of any e-zine published in KCI/CIG"s history.I also wrote the monthly Canadian Currents feature for Canadian Edge. Both MLM and Canadian Currents provided macroeconomic and geopolitical analysis and commentary as wells in support of Canadian Edge.During this period I was also managing editor of The Energy Strategist.
