Acquiring free and paid subscribers for our 12 public facing publishing brands.

Worked as the second to Jackie Flynn, the publisher. My primary duties involve marketing and operations. This was a two year assignment to work overseas in Ireland.One major focus for me was our paid one-step acquisition. Through August 2018, our number of orders were more than double the same period the previous year, up 107%. Our total revenue also went up, over 3 times at 232%. Lastly, revenue per day was up over 3 times at 233%.

My primary role is operations. Three popular public facing brands were, Palm Beach Research Group, Bonner and Partners and Casey Research.During my tenure, I played a key role in several multi-million dollar campaigns. The most successful of which was over $12M. Our gross revenue increased by over 25% every year I was part of this division.

My primary role was acquisition of free and paid subscribers, but I have also been tasked to oversee the operations and ensure that it is optimized. I was able to grow our list quite a bit in 16 months, with a positive ROAS (So not only did we grow the list by many thousands, we actually made money while doing it).

There were four public facing brands that I worked on over this time Personal Liberty - Easy Health Options – Health Resources – True HealthFor Health Resources and True Health, my primary job was SEM, search engine marketing. This included all Google Ad Words and other CPC networks, our ad spend was about $30K/month. I was also tasked with managing our email list delivery strategy. This was a crucial piece, since when I was brought on there was no strategy and our delivery rates were in the high 80s and low 90s, they were 99% when I left.Also implemented (and learned) some great tactics for renewals in a business that did not want to do automatic reoccurring billing.Served as the manager of the team of designers and programmers responsible for maintaining our day-to-day operations and ongoing projects, until Health Resources and True Health were sold.Once Health Resources was sold, we started Personalliberty.com. The goal was very simple, let’s identify our best supplement sellers, conservative males over 60, then build something they would want to frequent. We launched during the McCain/Obama election and were really able to capitalize on that timing to grow a highly conservative political list. We went from 0 to 150K subs in the first 3 months.By the end of the first year we were well over 400K subscribers and growing. When I left we were just under 1 million.I oversaw all operations from fulfillment to email marketing.Also started Easy Health Options, which was an alternative health publication. We went from 0 subscribers to 200K when I left.Personal Liberty was a great experience for me. I was able to see every aspect of running a media company and a publishing company. I have immense respect for Layne Lowery and Julie McManus, they taught me a lot and gave me a lot of room to learn.The company was under a non compete after they were sold, so I moved to another company to try and start a supplement company.

Was able to work with the owner, Clayton Makepeace and his clients. Primarily Weiss Research, Health Resources and The New Orleans Conference.
