Performs sanitary inspection and environmental health work involving in the enforcement of relevant sanitary, environmental, and public health laws and rules within the concerned jurisdiction; conducts inspections, investigations, and educational outreach activities; performs other related duties as required and/or necessary. Primary responsibilities include, Retail Food Establishments, Body Art Establishments, Public Recreational Bathing Facilities, Youth Camps, and Hazardous Materials responses. Provide education to internal and external stakeholders to promote compliance with applicable health codes.

Interview confirmed cases of COVID-19 for statistical purposes and to determine patterns of community spread. Contact close contacts of confirmed cases and advise of their exposure to COVID-19. Provide education on care and prevention of COVID-19 to cases and contacts.

Act as part of the clinical team by providing comprehensive case management services for chronic homeless clients located within the NYCT Subway system. Services include, completing Vulnerability Index forms, brief psychosocial reports, joint outreach activities with operations team and/or police, client follow up services to ensure client remains in placement, and enter in documentation in CARES/AWARDS of specific client interactions. Perform treatment planning and other responsibilities required of Outreach Specialists. Carry a case load of 55-65 clients. Responsible for all aspects of assigned case load, including meeting with clients on a regular basis both in the field and in the office, and ensure that all clinical files and reports are complete and up to date. Intensively work with clients as they move through the program continuum by conducting comprehensive assessments to identify barriers to housing, assisting clients to overcome housing barriers and secure entitlements . Also develop and working with clients to progress on individualized housing plans, building a network of support services for clients., Prepare clients for housing interviews and arrange housing appointments, and participating in case conferences as necessary.Drop in hours as assigned Liaison with clinical staff in other BRC or outside programs with regard to common clients. Provide emergency first aid/CPR or overdose prevention protocol assistance when needed. Related duties as assigned.

Provide direct outreach, transport, escort, and referral services to all homeless clients. Offer case management services to clients. Complete psychosocial evaluations of clients eligible for transitional housing. Maintain and report accurate data of all clients encountered and engaged and record actions taken with clients receiving services provided by BRC.

Provided acute emergency medical care and safe transport to acute medical facilities for the residents and visitors of the towns of Kearny, Harrison, and East Newark, NJ.

Created and presented a public health awareness program for New Jersey Register Ready. The program focuses on reaching out to people with access and functional needs or their caregivers by offering a free presentation hosted by organizations that provided service or assistance to people with access and functional needs and if necessary facilitating their registration.
