Early history in advertising with agencies in London, Toronto and New York. Created an award winning (CLIO) campaign. Moved over to new product development consulting with a particular emphasis on consumer packaged goods and services, and then to management consulting concentrating in the process of new product and business creation. Clients included industry leaders in telecommunications, healthcare and consumer electronics, among others. Founded D.Dunham & Company in 1985 and in the early 1990's developed the process of Critical Assumption Planning(SM) (CAP) to help organizations manage the risks inherent in innovation and new business commercialization. Introduced CAP to companies in the U.S., Europe and Australia. Published several client case studies on CAP including a chapter entitled "Risk Management: The Program Manager's Perspective" for The PDMA Toolbook for New Product Development. Joined a consulting client to grow a business in the emerging specialty of experiential marketing. Now with the CAP Consulting Group (CCG). Marty Gupta, CCG's Managing Director, was an early adopter of the CAP methodology while at AT&T. CCG helps clients develop and execute growth strategies for their businesses by introducing processes for investment management and performance tracking.
