NASBLA, a national nonprofit organization that works to develop public policy for recreational boating safety, represents the recreational boating authorities of all 50 states and the U.S. territories. The Boat Operations and Training Program provides onsite training to Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies. The training is set to the USCG Standard of small boat operations.Lead Instructor; Tactical Operators, Boat Crewmember and Search & Rescue Courses Trained more than 400 Federal, State, or Local Law Enforcement officers in 12 of the country’s major ports increasing the maritime preparedness and capability of those ports. Coordinate training to multiple agencies provided by presentation and practical application adapting to local areas and specific agency needs. Participated as a subject matter expert in course curriculum review to refine training presentation. Supervise exportable training team and coordinate logistical needs for all aspects of training. Subject matter expert, training facilitator , and presenter for classroom and hands on training of; Tactical Course - High Value Asset Protection, High Speed Vessel Pursuit, Use of Force Search & Rescue - Coordination, Planning and Execution Boat Operations - Boat Handling, Navigation and Basic Seamanship

Boatswain Mate First Class –Maritime Safety and Security Team Boston, MA 2006-2009MSST Boston is part of the USCG’s Deployable Operation Group which provides immediate response for National Security Threats and Emergency Operations Trained more than 65 Boat Operators and more than 25 Federal Law Enforcement Officers Commanded 25’ US Government security vessel and crew with automatic weapons Federal Law Enforcement Officer and training coordinator for 50 officers Search & Rescue and Seamanship Trainer. Supervisor of 50 enlisted military personnel, direct mentor of 10 junior members.Boatswain Mate Second Class –USCG Station Milwaukee, WI 2003-2006Multi-mission small boat station that conducts Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, and Emergency Operations. Law Enforcement Officer-Increased Unit Law Enforcement activity from less than 200 cases to over 500 annually which dramatically reduced the number of Search & Rescues cases. Operations Officer directly supervised and mentored 20 active duty and 30 reservists. Supervised input of search & rescue, required military training and law enforcement data. Officer of the day operational supervision of Station Milwaukee’s 60 miles of Lake Michigan coastline Commanded 41’, 25’, 24’, and 21’ US Government vessels and crews.Boatswain Mate Third Class –USCG Station Sturgeon Bay, WI 1999-2003Multi-mission small boat station that conducts Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, and Emergency Operations. Officer of the day, operational supervision of Station Sturgeon Bay, Station Green Bay, and Station Washington Island covering all of Green Bay and Northwestern Lake Michigan. Commanded 41’, 30’ and 21’ US Government vessels and crews.
