After 15 years as a Principal Consultant at ABB Engineering Services working with a number of organisations developing improved business performance I have set up my own consulting business delivering exactly what I have consistently delivered before.The choice of my company name is "Improvement Through People" to emphasise my belief that people really are the best asset of an organisation and that they often hold the key to operations improvement by the knowledge and experience that they own. It is more about the facilitation of that skill that I bring (in addition to my own knowledge and experience).Of course, the goal is tangibly improved business results.By always providing the solution based on the problem means I can successfully operate in any sector and have worked in many process industries such as pharmaceutical, chemicals, oil & gas, pulp & paper and steel. I have also applied the same Lean principles to discrete manufacturers and to construction companiesWith a proven track record in Behavioural Safety and Organisation & Systems Development linked to Team based Operational Improvements, my experience and skills provide realistic rather than academic solutions. Among my many qualifications I have an MSc in Human Resource Development, IOSH Managing Safety and CIPD Diplomas in Training Management and Training & Development. I am also a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel & Development. In addition I am a fully certified 6 Sigma green belt.I am also an experienced Training and Development Manager and have previously worked for Rolls Royce and Thorn Lighting. At Lloyds Training I began as an instructor then progressed to Area Manager looking after a number of training centres nationally.
