After leaving the Royal Navy the promise of a job fell through and I was left looking for work with very few transferable skills.i was fortunate to land a job as a call handler for the AA and within a short period I was promoted to resource analyst. it was here that I developed my knowledge and skills in MS Excel and Access. Over the years these skills expanded into VBA and writing advanced queries in SQL.By 2008 the demand for MI was at a level that a dedicated MI team was created and I was instrumental in it's formation.Since then the role evolved and new software was introduced so my knowledge and skill set expanded.I left the AA in 2017 and took on a new challenge with Collingwood Insurance as a pricing analyst.The role is very challenging but can be very rewarding. it allows me to utilise my skills and experience to manipulate and analyse huge datasets and make recommendations on my findings.
