I am mostly involved with the modeling of impurity particle transport in fusion reactors using the Monte Carlo particle following code OEDGE. OEDGE has three primary components. An "Onion Skin Model" or OSM for developing a plasma solution, EIRENE which is an excellent Monte Carlo hydrogen modeling code developed in Germany, and DIVIMP which is a Monte Carlo impurity particle code. At the present time, much of my modeling work involves experiments performed on the DIII-D fusion reactor located in San Diego, CA. However, I have also been involved in modeling experiments on JET (located near Abingdon, UK), CMOD (located at MIT, Boston MA) and Asdex Upgrade (located at Garching, Germany). In addition to the modeling work, I am also the lead developer for the DIVIMP modeling code and am responsible for the computer systems used by the Fusion Research Group at the University of Toronto.
