During 2015 retired early. Now consult for MIRA on specific vehicle usage, data collection, instrumentation, data analysis, and other projects. Support IMechE, Engineering Integrity Society, Police voluntary work and pursuing my own research. I think I am considered an expert in vehicle usage, statistics and accelerated testing methods. Especially durability techniques in the design and development process.I have developed a number of Usage Profiling techniques for load cases & NVH. My techniques have been applied to vehicle life targets, endurance specifications culminating in an overall MIRA Integrated Durability Engineering Service.Willing to help out on any interesting Engineering work - if interesting enough - lecturing support, design reviews, analysis support, transducer design, fatigue problem resolution, vehicle testing parameters, acceleration of real world testing etc.I joined MIRA towards end of 2000 As Senior Consultant in the Vehicle Development Engineering Department. Prior to this worked as Global Application Engineering Manager for nCode International.Studied Mechanical Engineering & gained Honours Degree in 1977. Worked at various GKN Group companies on drive-line and transmissions, managed a new test laboratory. Widened experience within the old BLMC Group, then Leyland Vans as Manager of Instrumentation & Data Analysis. Manager of the Advanced Technology facility at DAF Vans. Moved into the Consultancy arena in 1993, then to nCode International to concentrate on durability and fatigue.Worked in a wide variety of engineering disciplines. Speciality is in measurement & data analysis methods, instrumentation design, data acquisition, test rig and vehicle testing methods. Much of the time spent working in the fatigue analysis areas.
Listed skills include Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fatigue Analysis, Data Analysis, and 8 others.
