Firehouse Effects is a special effects company working on films, series, TV shows and TV adds.When I have been available I have done work for Firehouse effects as a fire safety person.For the month of February and a week of March this year I worked with Firehouse Effects on a TV show near Tankwa in the Karoo.We were required to provide fire safety for the contestants and crews.On another shoot we were working on a music video, structures were set alight for effect and I was hired for fire suppression and safety.I have worked on numerous other occasions for Firehouse Effects.

Duties include servicing and refilling of extinguishers, servicing of extinguishers at client’s sights, installation of new fire extinguishers and signage, completing visual inspections and surveys. I was also trusted to drive one of the company’s vehicles.

• Dark Horse is a lifestyle and furniture company creating and manufacturing leather goods such as travel bags, hand bags, wallets, chairs, couches and lighting.• I worked at the retail store at the Waterfront selling merchandise to customers. I was also responsible for opening and closing the shop, completing stock take and cashing up.

I worked as a Financial Advisor for Liberty Life

Managed my own construction business which involved managing domestic alterations and restorations. This included supervising my own staff and coordinating subcontractors.

Initially in partnership with a business associate but then broke away to start my own business. We managed domestic alterations and restorations.

• Sales consultant for software consulting company which mostly involved telephone sales, my role was to contact potential clients, build leads and get business out of potential clients

I worked out of the Fulham office in London. My role was to escort potential buyers of properties in the Fulham, Chelsea areas to prospective homes. I was also trusted with a company vehicle to chauffeur potential buyers around as well as keys to properties.

• Sales representative and technician My role was to showcase and sell the tyre safe product to potential customers at the Supa Quick outlet.

• Joined a camping association as a Camp Councilor where I taught Art, baseball and football.

Held two positions at this restaurant; first as Head Waiter then as Assistant Manager

For four months, I held the position of head waiter which was followed by two months as front desk assistant

This internship included three months working in the banqueting department as well as three months as assistant to the head barman on the terrace.I learnt a good deal of Swiss German while working at the Baur Au Luc.
