Besides being a entrepreneur and store owner before getting into real estate 25 years ago, I was a mortgage broker and banker. Did a few commercial loans and mostly did house loans. Did private loans for my own portfolio of rentals. Was vice president of a start up foreclosure buying company here in Eugene for three years before going back to private practice with other private investors buying foreclosures at the courthouse. For about 20 years I’ve been a private general contractor running all aspects of the remodels of the foreclosures we buy so they could be re-sold to homeowners. After I got out of eight years in the Marine Corps in helicopters, I went to a community college for four years while working full-time and got a business degree and then later, as I was an initial pioneer in the video store industry, I attended Western State University College of law in San Diego, but decided that being a lawyer wasn’t what I would be best at. I currently am interested in moving into partnership representation to develop properties or projects in the Eugene Springfield area here in Oregon, and considering all the repurposing of commercial real estate.
